RENO, Nev. (October 3, 2014) – The Reno Rodeo has selected the Foundry, a Reno-based advertising, marketing and communications agency to provide public relations and social media to the “Wildest, Richest, Rodeo in the West” which just celebrated its 95th year.
The Foundry will manage the Reno Rodeo’s year-round media relations and expanded social media and assist the Reno Rodeo Association with community outreach and event coordination for the 10-day event, including the historic cattle drive and parade.
“Being a Reno-based agency with the majority of our team native northern Nevadans, we couldn’t be more proud to be partnering with such a classic and economically important event to our community, than the Reno Rodeo,” said Jim Bauserman, owner of the Foundry.
In 2014, more than 150,000 fans attended the Reno Rodeo featuring 680 professional athletes competing for $550,000 in prize money. The event continues to have a measurable economic impact on the Reno/Sparks region. The Reno Rodeo has an estimated $42 million impact on the Reno/Sparks economy benefiting hotels, casinos, restaurants and retail.
